The TLC SCANNER II for densitometric measurement of thin-layer chromatograms and other objects up to size 200 x 200 mm.
With built-in option for measurements in transmitted light can transparent objects, eg Electropherograms are evaluated.
The scanner does the actual densitometric measurement function, the processing of measured data is an appropriate peripheral device.
In most cases, is used as such, the CAMAG PC evaluation system, consisting of the CAMAG laboratory data system - IBM-PC compatible computer 386 or higher quality - in conjunction with the CATS software. In this case, is also the control of the scanner by the computer. In the CATS manual using the scanner as part of the CAMAG PC evaluation system is described.
The scanner can be operated with simpler peripherals (integrator) For this purpose, the scanner is equipped with its own programming option.
The present manual deals with the device itself, describes its use with the simpler peripherals, but has repeatedly pointed to the connection with the CAMAG PC evaluation system.
They are taken all precautions to ensure that the use of appropriate standard work rules (SOP = Standard Operating Procedures) under conditions of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) can work.
TECHNICAL DATA
The light sources D2, W and Hg lamps are installed in the device. Their mechanical switching is done by the lateral adjustment lever. All three lamps are current and stabilized voltage.
